In the old Royal Bakery off of Hillsborough Street, Lucky Tree is 35% coffee shop and 65% local creations. It is a place where I spend a lot of time and meet a lot of clients. They have coffee ice cubes. I think that sums it up.

Brand new and in a prime location in downtown Raleigh, The Nest is a place where locally-minded people and small businesses can get their dreams off the ground. When a place opens for people to come together and innovate, it will always get my attention.

This restaurant has exceptional food and an even better group of people running the place. Try the Bo Ssam - you will thank me later. It is in a great location for a week or weekend night out, and has fantastic house cocktails.

More of a maker-space than anything, The RAC provides space and tools for artists, welders, carpenters and local businesses a place to practice their craft and enjoy other weirdos like them.
